Pastoral Care

We are thankful at St. John`s to have a church where there is much loving support given informally already - in all sorts of different ways. We are seeking to enhance this, so that each of us may feel more fully loved and embraced by each other, within the love of God.

We want to offer the opportunity for anyone perhaps struggling in some way, to have a visit or chance to talk, so that God`s love is shared liberally amongst us. And we seek to offer personal contact and prayer support wherever there is a need. In addition, we would like to be able to visit, more often, those at home who cannot make our services as regularly as they would like - by reason of infirmity, incapacity or particular circumstances.

For this vision to be more fully realised, and to know where support might be appreciated, we know that we need each other. Our vision is, that as members of Christ`s Body here at St John`s, we can look out for one another so that help and support may be accessed. To this end, we encourage people to get in touch with our Pastoral Care Co-ordinator, Sylvia Walker, or a member of our clergy – Peter Willox and Jan Copsey, either on their own account, or that of someone else via the Church Office on ‪01943 601430‬.
