The Lighthouse

Children and Young People at St John's are loved and welcomed members of the Church family and this starts at an early age. We have a detailed Child Protection Policy and a dedicated Child Protection Officer. Leaders of all of our Children and Young Peoples Groups attend update courses on a regular basis.

St John's has an experienced team of teachers in the Lighthouse who aim to help all children to learn more about Jesus and the Love that he brings. There are Lighthouse Groups designed for various age groups and follow recognised teaching programmes throughout the year. If you would like to bring your child along to experience the Lighthouse for the first time please come and talk to one of our Lighthouse teachers in the St John's Church hall prior to one of the 10am Services or simply bring your child along and he/she will be made more than welcome. Church members also run a Creche for the pre-school children enabling parents to enjoy services whilst their children are being safely cared for and playing with toys.
